I am bitten. I am frustrated. I have 30,000 words to write (at least!) in order to complete the Telling Tales series and the deadline is the end of April, rather than September as previously planned. I have chewed – nay torn – almost every finger nail in the process of trying to complete this mammoth, but fabulously enjoyable task.
Trouble is, my mind has gone Sci Fi and to be honest – I really don’t know why!!! -? To date, in this past week, I have written three Science fiction stories;
Sci Fi Tale #1, ‘The Genesis Protocol’ was written on the 19th March 2013 and runs to 3630 words.
Sci Fi Tale #2, ‘State Of Grace’ was written on the 20th March 2013 and runs to 3051 words.
Sci Fi Tale #3, ‘Calm Before The Storm’ was written on the 23rd March 2013 and runs to 5656 words.
This totals 12337 words which should rightly have been part of the Telling Tales series. I would be almost done by now and free to write as many Sci Fi tales as I wish if I could just stay focused! Whatever is a girl to do!?
That said… there is one small consolation… my editor has suggested I follow-up my Telling Tales series… with a Sci Fi series… so I’m not getting myself into too much trouble. Yet!
However, I find myself wondering – do I have enough creative inspiration to fulfil such a daunting and hitherto, for me at any rate, unchartered task!? Only time will tell…
Meanwhile, there are so many more Telling Tales yet to be told…!
