You will note a recurring theme as you read both this and the previous Telling Tale, entitled ‘The Local Laughia’.
After four days of disruptions, dealing with inadequate morons who couldn’t run a chook-pen, let alone a corporation, I have returned to my writing desk, tired, disgruntled and drained of all vigour to write. Some people just leave one empty of all hope for a peaceful and productive life. This world at times seems neither worthy of living nor fighting to maintain. It has lost its way…
Personally, I harbour a vehement dislike for anyone in any country, Government or area of any industry who feels they have the right to rule over the lives of others and dictate terms simply because they are in a financial position to do so. It is abhorrent, unsupportable behaviour which cannot be countenanced and must never be allowed to stand. Not even in the smallest of ways. In the same way that it can buy neither title, nor class, money does not automatically entitle anyone to leadership or respect; these are qualities which must be earned. Unfortunately, in this world money can buy that singular thing that most of unstable mind persistently seek as an end in itself, which, ultimately, goes nowhere and yields them nothing. Power. Power for power’s sake, money for money’s sake. Ask these people what they hope to achieve once they have accumulated all that money and all that power and all that control, and not one of them, not a singular one can provide any answer. For there isn’t one. Such a seeking for the seeking in itself is a futile occupation, a waste of so many lives, that is ever and always only recognised as such when it is far too late to undo that which has been done.
There is little hope for anyone who seeks to lead a happy and peaceful life in a world that is controlled by a conglomerate of magnates who have no heart for humanity.
This short tale, 1554 words in length, is about a young girl named Tink who is affected badly by those who wield both money and power and as a result, respects neither. If everyone could find just such a way to be so easily satisfied as this young lady, despite the trials and tribulations she has been put through, the world would be a slightly more peaceful and happier place!
I did say slightly.
NB: This Telling Tale now appears in Book One of the Telling Tales series; TELLING TALES Vol. 1.
