Greetings! Today I begin Telling Tales.
I am a writer. I love writing – actually – I love and hate everything about writing. Every day presents a new challenge.
This year I have a singularly focused task; to begin and complete a collection of short story volumes entitled ‘Telling Tales’. The target is one Tale per day, but I am a realist, so I will be content with four to five tales per week. One rule, however; the Tale must begin and end on the same day. I am extremely impatient and know my own limitations! One chapter – or one story – per man, per day. That’s my margin. It keeps things quick and spontaneous – just how I like them.
Each Tale must be fresh, it must be nothing like any tales ever written before it, and most importantly of all, it must be unexpected! I have a savoury palette and love to be surprised. Like my drinks and my lovers, I like my stories with a twist!
Today’s first tale is called ‘Acquisition’ and at 540 words in length, is a very short, tight little Tale indeed!
